Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nenad Rankov got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Philibert Van Bever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rajko Rušić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Dejo Savićević got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rajko Rušić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philibert Van Bever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Gavra Rajevac in the 11th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Belgium's Karel Haemers. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Serbia's zone, Rudy Omblet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rajko Rušić came out of the goal and Rudy Omblet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Nenad Rankov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diederick Boffin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Philibert Van Bever came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the U21 Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philibert Van Bever couldn't finish the play. Rajko Rušić came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Belgium's Philibert Van Bever. But to his dismay, Philibert Van Bever quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philibert Van Bever to strike the kick off in the second half. If Philibert Van Bever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 51st minute Philibert Van Bever shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rajko Rušić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philibert Van Bever in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rajko Rušić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 minutes of play, U21 Belgium's Philibert Van Bever made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rajko Rušić was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diederick Boffin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nenad Rankov in the 60th minute of play. The corner ended in Emir Isak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Belgium's Diederick Boffin did a great save. After a rather tough play, U21 Serbia's Gavra Rajevac got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of U21 Belgium booed when U21 Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavra Rajevac didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Demeyer in the 68th minute of play forced U21 Serbia's goalkeeper Rajko Rušić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brent Demeyer in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rajko Rušić saved U21 Serbia from getting behind. U21 Serbia's Rajko Rušić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brent Demeyer in the 73rd minute of play. When U21 Belgium's Brent Demeyer in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Brent Demeyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rajko Rušić read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Fedor Delić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rajko Rušić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brent Demeyer in the 84th minute of play. Rajko Rušić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brent Demeyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Brent Demeyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, U21 Belgium's Rajko Rušić threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brent Demeyer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
