Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Javier Andueza made the kick off and thus started the match. Omar Larios made in the 6th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Shawn Hurtado. 7 minutes into the game, Omar Larios threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Javier Andueza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Hurtado in the 9th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Ezmundo Turull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Chile defense, Shawn Hurtado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ezmundo Turull. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ezmundo Turull should have stopped the shot. Israel Venturino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Villanueva having to interfere. Cristian Villanueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Bühler in the 14th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Florencio Bühler made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Salvador's Cristian Villanueva tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 22 minutes into the game, El Salvador's Shawn Hurtado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ezmundo Turull made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After 24 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Javier Andueza. Cristian Villanueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florencio Bühler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Andueza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chile's Ezmundo Turull played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Ayala in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Javier Andueza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Ayala in the 35th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Ezmundo Turull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. El Salvador's Cristian Villanueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Bühler in the 36th minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Florencio Bühler who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Cristian Villanueva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Javier Andueza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Villanueva came out of the goal and Javier Andueza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the game, Florencio Bühler recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristian Villanueva. Florencio Bühler showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. In the 46th minute, Javier Andueza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Florencio Bühler might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Villanueva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florencio Bühler ran back to his position shaking his head. El Salvador's Cristian Villanueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Bühler in the 53rd minute of play. Cristian Villanueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Bühler in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Andueza came free, but Cristian Villanueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Javier Andueza in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Villanueva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florencio Bühler in the 59th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Cristian Villanueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Omar Larios with Shawn Hurtado as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Chile's attentive Elias Machado managed to snatch the ball when Omar Larios made a throw-in in the 61st minute of the game. 63 minutes into the game, Omar Larios threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chile's Elias Machado quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cristian Villanueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Andueza in the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Venturino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86thth minute of the game Marcos Pissa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Salvador's Cristian Villanueva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristian Villanueva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Pissa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ezmundo Turull made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Guillermo Muñoz sent off a good shot on target. Ezmundo Turull made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustin Nunes in the 99th minute of play. Chile were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of El Salvador for a fine match.
