An unexpectedly hard shot by Björgólfur Rúnarsson in the 12th minute of play forced Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Dwight Eversley Bissambhar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13th play minutes Dansam Gift shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sigurvin Gretarsson and just under the crossbar into goal. Hjálmar Barðasons short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Dwight Eversley Bissambhar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 21 minutes Iceland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jamal Vidale who took care of the corner kick. Kristleifur Sveinbjörnsson thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Sigurvin Gretarsson, a very annoying self made goal in the 21st minute which led to 0-2. If Björgólfur Rúnarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sigurvin Gretarsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austin Eve in the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes Iceland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jamal Vidale who took care of the corner kick. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björgólfur Rúnarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Sigurvin Gretarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Austin Eve in the 37th minute of play. Björgólfur Rúnarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dansam Gift's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sigurvin Gretarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hjálmar Barðason made a kick off. Björgólfur Rúnarsson scored 1-2 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dwight Eversley Bissambhar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 58 minutes into the match, Dansam Gift dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sigurvin Gretarsson, 1-3. Hjálmar Barðason sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björgólfur Rúnarsson in the 62nd minute of play. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hjálmar Barðason's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Þyrnir Árnason had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dwight Eversley Bissambhar. Trinidad & Tobago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Þyrnir Árnason was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. 73 minutes into the match, Björgólfur Rúnarsson notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Trinidad & Tobago's Dwight Eversley Bissambhar. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th match minute, Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ísólfur Hafþórsson to maneuver through the defense. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björgólfur Rúnarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the game, Björgólfur Rúnarsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-3. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Björgólfur Rúnarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Björgólfur Rúnarsson came free, but Dwight Eversley Bissambhar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dwight Eversley Bissambhar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Björgólfur Rúnarsson went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-3 was the resulting score. In the 93rdth minute of the game Hjálmar Barðason who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trinidad & Tobago's Dwight Eversley Bissambhar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
