Spectators: 1029 (Terracing: 772, Seating: 237, VIP seats: 20) U21 Ireland's Peyton Costello started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ronni Riffers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peyton Costello in the 4th minute of play. In the 7th minute Peyton Costello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronni Riffers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Lester hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Folmar Søder kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fergus Cronin. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Folmar Søder put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Fergus Cronin. Fergus Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folmar Søder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Fergus Cronin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Folmar Søder in the 34thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 35th match minute, U21 Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Babhruvahana Paappanen to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to U21 Ireland getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Quirk John hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peyton Costello in the 39th minute of play forced U21 Denmark's goalkeeper Ronni Riffers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folmar Søder in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fergus Cronin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 43 played minutes U21 Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Sepp Eliassen. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

In the 57th minute Lynge Gaardmand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Cronin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sepp Eliassen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the U21 Denmark defense, Babhruvahana Paappanen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronni Riffers. The U21 Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronni Riffers should have stopped the shot. Ronni Riffers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babhruvahana Paappanen in the 71st minute of play. Fergus Cronin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sepp Eliassen in the 73rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brannen Murphy during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brannen Murphy kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. U21 Denmark's Sofus Stoffersen was substituted for Karsten Wilkens. After 75 played minutes U21 Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Brannen Murphy. Fergus Cronin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofus Stoffersen in the 78th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Sofus Stoffersen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fergus Cronin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nickolas Bilstrup in the 81st minute of play forced U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Fergus Cronin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fergus Cronin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sepp Eliassen went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Sofus Stoffersen made in the 86th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Ireland's Victor Lindelof. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nickolas Bilstrup in the 91st minute of play forced U21 Ireland's goalkeeper Fergus Cronin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fergus Cronin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sofus Stoffersen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fergus Cronin came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Denmark's Nickolas Bilstrup. But to his dismay, Nickolas Bilstrup quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. U21 Denmark's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
