Spectators: 1028 (Terracing: 772, Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Morten Kjos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ivan Lundqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Morten Kjos in the 3rd minute of the match. U21 Sweden's Ivan Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Søreng in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, U21 Norway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig Haddal to maneuver through the defense. After 9 minutes U21 Norway's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jimmy Påk who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Bernt Rosen managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Jimmy Påk succeeded in the game's 13th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. After 17 played minutes U21 Sweden got a freekick which was hit by Ted Holmberg. After a rather tough play, U21 Norway's Christoffer Opheim got a free kick in the 18th minute. U21 Norway's Walter Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörn Östlund in the 20th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, U21 Norway's Kristian Søreng sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Lundqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ivan Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristian Søreng, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. U21 Norway's Walter Zoff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasmus Salle in the 41st minute of play. Walter Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasmus Salle, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

U21 Norway's Tor-Magnus Holgersen was substituted for Stig Haddal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rasmus Salle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Walter Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted Holmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Kristian Søreng came free, but Ivan Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernt Rosen hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ivan Lundqvist was a little too slow when Kristian Søreng got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-1. U21 Norway's Bobby Boss was substituted for Mathias Torjussen. U21 Sweden's Bobby Zamora was substituted for Jörn Östlund. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Holmberg in the 68th minute of play forced U21 Norway's goalkeeper Walter Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, U21 Norway's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Eklund came free, but Walter Zoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st match minute, U21 Norway was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoffer Opheim to maneuver through the defense. Bobby Boss hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Walter Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Påk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bobby Zamora fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Zoff having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Casper Toni recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivan Lundqvist. Casper Toni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramsay Bolton in the 90th minute of play forced U21 Norway's goalkeeper Walter Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Sweden were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after U21 Norway's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernt Rosen took the corner. Walter Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elliott Källberg in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Casper Toni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
