It was beautiful to see Argentina's Joaquin Soter in action when he in the 21st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Liam Furniss blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Albano Tancredo having to make a save. Albano Tancredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Furniss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hipolito Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Liam Furniss's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albano Tancredo was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Albano Loreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Garth Gunn made a huge save. England's Garth Gunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Costante in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thom Monk to maneuver through the defense.

A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Mark Reddington with Kristopher Carlisle as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, Argentina's Benigno Guerrero got a free kick in the 58th minute. Argentina made a substitution. Tiburcio Mouricio replaced Sixto Delfino. Benigno Guerrero kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When Peter Nicholson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Nicholson couldn't finish the play. Argentina's Damian Gotzon was substituted for Joaquin Soter. England made a substitution. Gav McAleer replaced Liam Furniss. In the 63rd minute Diego Armando Maradona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garth Gunn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Argentina's Albano Tancredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav McAleer in the 66th minute of play. Gav McAleer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albano Tancredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute England were awarded a corner. Peter Nicholson went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Thom Monk managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. England made a substitution. Grant Goldsmith replaced Thom Monk. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hipolito Calixto during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Argentina getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Hipolito Calixto hit a great ball. Albano Tancredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gav McAleer, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Gav McAleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Tancredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute Gav McAleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Tancredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Nicholson charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Peter Nicholson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Peter Nicholson.

The Argentina supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching England's performance. The match ended with a win for England.
