Natarajan Chahil started the match with the kick off. A collision led to U21 India getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Atimanusa Khandelwal hit a great ball. Sameer Saeed stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dev Kulkarni's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Jamal Al Shaikh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tej Singh. U21 India's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jamal Al Shaikh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Immobile in the 24th minute of play forced U21 India's goalkeeper Tej Singh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciro Immobile received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tej Singh came out and tried to block the shot, but Ciro Immobile slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 25th minute. Marco Reus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to U21 India getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kundan Toor hit a great ball. U21 India's Tej Singh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Immobile in the 32nd minute of play. Tej Singh was a little too slow when Haitham Jiragh got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mahmoud Al Motaire in the 52nd minute of play forced U21 India's goalkeeper Tej Singh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tej Singh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haitham Jiragh in the 53rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Natarajan Chahil managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 India's supporters rose to their feet, but Natarajan Chahil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sameer Saeed breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U21 Kuwait made a substitution. Sameer Al Mulaifi replaced Haitham Jiragh. In the 59th match minute, U21 India was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kundan Toor to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Basel Al Baghli shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tej Singh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. U21 India made a substitution. Varinderjeet Dwivedi replaced Natarajan Chahil. U21 India's Gian Subba was substituted for Kundan Toor. After 69 minutes of play, U21 Kuwait's Marco Reus made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tej Singh was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Kuwait made a substitution. Mamdouh Al Sharah replaced Jamal Al Shaikh. Tej Singh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Immobile in the 73rd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, U21 Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Ilanko Krishnamurthy came free, but Sameer Saeed reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tej Singh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mamdouh Al Sharah in the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bhairavasin Samra in the 81st minute of play forced U21 Kuwait's goalkeeper Sameer Saeed to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Navin Bisla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 India's Rohan Gerrard was substituted for Dev Kulkarni. Navin Bisla kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. When Bandana Mitra fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 India's protests and gave Bandana Mitra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Bandana Mitra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mamdouh Al Sharah struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Tej Singh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Kuwait. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mamdouh Al Sharah in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tej Singh prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Rohan Gerrard put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Sameer Saeed.
