An unexpectedly hard shot by Arman Eriksson in the 6th minute of play forced U21 Kuwait's goalkeeper Baqer Al Khobaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baqer Al Khobaize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arman Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Leeds United FC's Arman Eriksson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baqer Al Khobaize narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, U21 Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Kihlberg came free, but Baqer Al Khobaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baqer Al Khobaize came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Leeds United FC's Hugo Pedersson. But to his dismay, Hugo Pedersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Abdulatif Al Azmi's late challenge caught a Leeds United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abdulatif Al Azmi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th match minute, U21 Kuwait was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abdulatif Al Azmi to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Otto Finsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 21 minutes into the game, Otto Finsberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Baqer Al Khobaize was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Taqi Shadad kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Kuwait booed when Leeds United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arman Eriksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Arman Eriksson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leeds United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Saed Al Hadad kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Baqer Al Khobaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrie Mühren in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Arman Eriksson notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of U21 Kuwait's Baqer Al Khobaize. Baqer Al Khobaize was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 39 minutes of play, Leeds United FC's Otto Finsberg made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baqer Al Khobaize was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baqer Al Khobaize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Lindsten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Börje Lindsten might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Baqer Al Khobaize. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Börje Lindsten ran back to his position shaking his head.

Gerrie Mühren hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Baqer Al Khobaize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Finsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, U21 Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Lindsten came free, but Baqer Al Khobaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Lundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basel Al Azmi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baqer Al Khobaize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Lindsten in the 58th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Arman Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leeds United FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arman Eriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baqer Al Khobaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Baqer Al Khobaize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otto Finsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. 62 minutes into the match, U21 Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Finsberg came free, but Baqer Al Khobaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Arman Eriksson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Baqer Al Khobaize was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baqer Al Khobaize didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Börje Lindsten went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute Basel Al Azmi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Lundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baqer Al Khobaize made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Börje Lindsten sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Leeds United FC's Börje Lindsten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baqer Al Khobaize. That made the score 0-8 after 86 minutes of play. 89 minutes into the match, U21 Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Otto Finsberg came free, but Baqer Al Khobaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes U21 Kuwait got a freekick which was hit by Saed Al Hadad. Baqer Al Khobaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Finsberg in the 93rd minute of play. When Ergincan Zağanos fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leeds United FC's protests and gave Ergincan Zağanos a yellow card for diving instead. Leeds United FC played a much better game than U21 Kuwait and deserved their victory. The U21 Kuwait players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
