The Poland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. El Salvador's Diego Barraza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witalis Giertych in the 18th minute of play. Ignacy Napierkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Barraza having to interfere. In the 36th minute Cyryl Kaczeniak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Barraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diego Barraza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ignacy Napierkowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 63 minute of play. Cyryl Kaczeniak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Barraza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Cyryl Kaczeniak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Diego Barraza made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Korneliusz Zjawin took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Diego Barraza to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Korneliusz Zjawin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Poland's supporters rose to their feet, but Korneliusz Zjawin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Barraza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 81 minutes, Korneliusz Zjawin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Korneliusz Zjawin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Korneliusz Zjawin in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Barraza saved El Salvador from getting behind. In the 92nd match minute, Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roch Madej to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Korneliusz Zjawin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diego Barraza was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Roch Madej kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. After 99 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Boianelli. Poland's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
