Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Feliksas Jučas took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lithuania's Germanas Andrulis got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 8 minutes into the match, Lithuania's Germanas Andrulis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Szabolcs Zolnai narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Germanas Andrulis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Szabolcs Zolnai was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Lithuania's goalkeeper Justinas Majauskas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zsolt Vuk. Hungary's Szabolcs Zolnai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germanas Andrulis in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Márton Zsinka reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Justinas Majauskas. The goal made the score 1-0. Liutauras Davanauskas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Szabolcs Zolnai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Lithuania's Justinas Majauskas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márton Zsinka in the 23rd minute of play. After 26 minutes Lithuania's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Miklós Kocsis who took care of the corner kick. Hungary's Miklós Kocsis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Justinas Majauskas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 28th minute Márton Zsinka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justinas Majauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Germanas Andrulis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Szabolcs Zolnai. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Germanas Andrulis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Justinas Majauskas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Márton Zsinka's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 38th minute Márton Zsinka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justinas Majauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 44th minute Lithuania were awarded a corner. Arminas Podėris went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Germanas Andrulis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Szabolcs Zolnai quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Dainius Penkauskas sped through Hungary's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Szabolcs Zolnai. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zsolt Vuk made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Germanas Andrulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Szabolcs Zolnai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute Miklós Kocsis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justinas Majauskas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Germanas Andrulis scored to the left of an out of position Szabolcs Zolnai, making the score, 1-3. Germanas Andrulis came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Szabolcs Zolnai could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Márton Zsinka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Justinas Majauskas was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. When Márton Zsinka came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márton Zsinka couldn't finish the play. Lithuania made a substitution. Ignas Laužikas replaced Vilius Damašas. The crowd rose to their feet as Germanas Andrulis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Szabolcs Zolnai. That made the score 1-4 in the 77 minute of play. Zsolt Vuk might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Justinas Majauskas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zsolt Vuk ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Félix Kiss in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justinas Majauskas saved Lithuania from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Germanas Andrulis took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Szabolcs Zolnai to make any attempt to save it. 89 minutes into the game, Félix Kiss cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Justinas Majauskas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Szabolcs Zolnai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliksas Jučas in the 92nd minute of play. Justinas Majauskas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Félix Kiss, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lithuania eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
