Volli Äkke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demario Rosete in the 4th minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, U21 Venezuela's Demario Rosete nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Volli Äkke made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rigoberto Acebo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karel Kübar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The U21 Estonia fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when U21 Estonia's Karel Kübar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sal Buerga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Volli Äkke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Volli Äkke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sal Buerga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Volli Äkke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Formerio Velis in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute Maurin Vello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volli Äkke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Volli Äkke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demario Rosete in the 29th minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Estonia booed when U21 Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sal Buerga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volli Äkke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sal Buerga, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Helger Laanemets hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Formerio Velis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Karel Kübar was the one to do the kick off. If Jaanek Urm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute, Demario Rosete reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Volli Äkke. The goal made the score 1-2. U21 Estonia made a substitution. Joonatan Voit replaced Väino Rakso. Formerio Velis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volli Äkke having to interfere. After a rather tough play, U21 Estonia's Teet Viik got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 64th match minute, U21 Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerold Feito to maneuver through the defense. When Villem Ütt fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Estonia's protests and gave Villem Ütt a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, U21 Estonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Villem Ütt to maneuver through the defense. U21 Estonia's Laur Hull was substituted for Olev Põldmaa. The supporters of U21 Venezuela booed when U21 Estonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Villem Ütt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68thth minute of the game Karel Kübar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Venezuela's Rigoberto Acebo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Laur Hull during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Laur Hull hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Demario Rosete received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Volli Äkke came out and tried to block the shot, but Demario Rosete slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 75th minute. Teet Viik charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teet Viik the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes U21 Estonia got a freekick which was hit by Teet Viik. Volli Äkke made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Formerio Velis sent off a good shot on target. U21 Estonia's Volli Äkke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Estonia from getting a goal against them. U21 Venezuela were furious when Baldomiro Taboada was red carded, 91 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaanek Urm in the 93rd minute of play forced U21 Venezuela's goalkeeper Rigoberto Acebo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Etxeberri Tato hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. U21 Venezuela's Rigoberto Acebo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karel Kübar in the 95th minute of play. U21 Venezuela played a much better game than U21 Estonia and deserved their victory. The U21 Estonia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
