After 21 played minutes Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Danann O'Brien. With a little luck, Ireland's Shea Ryan got control of the ball when Blaise Brunner tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ireland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Cooper Frischkopf was slow to take the kick. During this time Switzerland's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Switzerland's Feodor Pernhardt to fire away a dangerous shot which Shea Ryan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Shea Ryan came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Switzerland's Feodor Pernhardt. But to his dismay, Feodor Pernhardt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Blaise Brunner might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Shea Ryan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blaise Brunner ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blaise Brunner got free with Shea Ryan in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Shea Ryan made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Blaise Brunner sent off a good shot on target. Shea Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blaise Brunner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shea Ryan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blaise Brunner in the 41st minute. Fletcher Camiscia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corey Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blaise Brunner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Shea Ryan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Cyrill Giacomini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shea Ryan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fletcher Camiscia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danann O'Brien in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Blaise Brunner made a precise shot to the right of Shea Ryan. Ireland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Switzerland's Julius Bürgler was substituted for Blaise Brunner. 73 minutes into the match, Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Julius Bürgler came free, but Shea Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ireland's Arthur Byrne got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Switzerland made a substitution. Herve Lange replaced Cooper Frischkopf. In the 78th minute Danann O'Brien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fletcher Camiscia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julius Bürgler kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Shea Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julius Bürgler in the 82nd minute of the match. Switzerland's Julius Bürgler got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bressail McIan came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fletcher Camiscia could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bressail McIan got free with Fletcher Camiscia in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Bressail McIan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fletcher Camiscia. That made the score 2-1 in the 93 minute of play. Switzerland were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ireland for a fine match.
