When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vaios Georgenes made a kick off. Aias Vlahos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jannick Krenk in the 52nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fanis Dalianis in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kay Gamsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fanis Dalianis in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kay Gamsen saved Denmark from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Fanis Dalianis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kay Gamsen was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 61st minute Cyprus were awarded a corner. Iphitos Glynatsis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Denmark's goalie and right to Alexandros Vrettos. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Denmark's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 65th match minute, Cyprus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kephalos Logarakis to maneuver through the defense. Cyprus made a substitution. Sofoklis Panoulias replaced Fanis Dalianis. Cyprus's Alekos Danas was substituted for Likymnios Dimakakos. Kephalos Logarakis hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Erik Gunding sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
