The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damazy Joks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanos Saatsakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariasz Sitko, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giorgos Robinho in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Lech Pisarcik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cyprus's Thanos Saatsakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanos Saatsakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damazy Joks in the 29th minute of the match. Hektor Fitrakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Boruc having to interfere. Traian Delas replaced Akis Bouzios. Cyprus's Kadmos Haritopoulos was substituted for Gary Neville. Poland's attentive Leonard Winszman managed to snatch the ball when Epigonoi Honjas made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. Thanos Saatsakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marek Czech in the 75th minute. In the 80th minute Lech Pisarcik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanos Saatsakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
