The mood of the audience was pleasant when Višeslav Hrvatinić made the kick off which started today's match. Poland's Daniele Jarosz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hrvoje Matoš in the 5th minute of play. In the 9thth minute of the game Waldemar Kilarski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croatia's Mijat Kresić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A throw-in in the 12th minute of the game was made by Edmund Bielejewski with Leonard Kasperowicz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Mijat Kresić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski in the 13th minute of play. Mijat Kresić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonard Kasperowicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Mijat Kresić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Waldemar Kilarski. After 20 minutes Croatia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leonard Kasperowicz who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Poland's Norbert Bronicki to a score. 1-0 in the 20th minute. Waldemar Kilarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Ferenc Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Jarosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferenc Puskás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniele Jarosz having to interfere. Poland's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonard Kasperowicz in the 40th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waldemar Kilarski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Leonard Kasperowicz made a precise shot to the right of Mijat Kresić. Croatia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Waldemar Kilarski took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mijat Kresić. Mijat Kresić dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Kilarski in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mijat Kresić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Velimir Kudumija got free with Daniele Jarosz in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Kasprzykowski in the 66th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper Mijat Kresić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Ferenc Puskás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croatia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferenc Puskás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Croatia made a substitution. Jure Salzer replaced Ferenc Puskás. 74 minutes into the match, Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Hrvoje Matoš came free, but Daniele Jarosz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Marek Huk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marek Huk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Poland's Daniele Jarosz got control of the ball when Velimir Kudumija tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Poland's goalkeeper Daniele Jarosz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jure Salzer. Poland's Marek Huk quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Blaž Starčević, made in the 84th minute of the game. Mijat Kresić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iwo Kasprzykowski in the 86th minute of the match. Daniele Jarosz was a little too slow when Jure Salzer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 3-1. Mijat Kresić came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Poland's Teobald Komornicki. But to his dismay, Teobald Komornicki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Poland had won after a very even match.
