After having played for 15 minutes, Gombal Cordova managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gombal Cordova was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Colombia's goalkeeper Xurde Villaren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nabucodonosor Llinares. 18 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Nabucodonosor Llinares came free, but Xurde Villaren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harriet Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnalt Figueroa having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Nabucodonosor Llinares came free, but Xurde Villaren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benigno Tejeido kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When Nabucodonosor Llinares came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Spain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nabucodonosor Llinares couldn't finish the play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Spain were victorious despite being under pressure from Colombia for much of the match.
