Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Spain's Froilan Reyes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Froilan Reyes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredo Matteo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Spain's Mazuste Nobo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Robert Bresson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Panfilo in the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Spain were awarded a corner. Froilan Reyes went to the cornerflag to take it. Spain's Robert Bresson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hektor Hansgaard in the 13th minute of play. Alfredo Matteo came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Spain's Froilan Reyes. But to his dismay, Froilan Reyes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. C.A.Independiente's Alfredo Matteo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Independiente from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hektor Hansgaard in the 24th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Robert Bresson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 28th minute, Froilan Reyes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Matteo. The goal made the score 3-0. Robert Bresson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hektor Hansgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Froilan Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cleto Argider was the one to do the kick off. Alfredo Matteo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Froilan Reyes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Mazuste Nobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Matteo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Spain's Froilan Reyes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfredo Matteo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 minutes of play, Spain's Froilan Reyes made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Matteo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Froilan Reyes might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Matteo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Froilan Reyes ran back to his position shaking his head. If Froilan Reyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alfredo Matteo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Reyes in the 71st minute of the match. 74 minutes into the game, Froilan Reyes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Alfredo Matteo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Reyes in the 80th minute of play forced C.A.Independiente's goalkeeper Alfredo Matteo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the C.A.Independiente players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Spain.
