Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Salvador Gaete made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Guedes in the 6th minute. Salvador Gaete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Queiroz in the 9th minute of the match. Erivaldo Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florencio Bühler in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Davi Guedes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Salvador Gaete was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ernani Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Salvador Gaete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chile's Florencio Bühler got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 played minutes Brazil got a freekick which was hit by Giovani Abreu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walter da Silva in the 90th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Salvador Gaete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marcos Pissa came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Pissa couldn't finish the play. Brazil were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Chile for a fine match.
