In the 24th match minute, U21 Bosnia And Hercegovina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hrustan Krstulović to maneuver through the defense. When Hrustan Krstulović fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Bosnia And Hercegovina's protests and gave Hrustan Krstulović a yellow card for diving instead. Hrustan Krstulović hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Willy Wilhelm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nesib Čuk having to make a save. Nesib Čuk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Japke Jochemsen went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 40 minutes into the match, U21 Bosnia And Hercegovina's goal looked a bit too open when Japke Jochemsen came free, but Nesib Čuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nesib Čuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ger Bense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sander Loch was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the game, U21 Netherlands's Ger Bense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nesib Čuk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kruno Šuman to strike the kick off in the second half. If Willy Wilhelm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Kruno Šuman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Harding saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute of the match U21 Bosnia And Hercegovina got a corner. U21 Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mehmedija Cerić ran over to the corner to take the kick. Besim Kijanović could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Carlo Harding made a huge save. Besim Kijanović recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the game, U21 Netherlands's Adriaan Mulder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nesib Čuk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Carlo Harding was out of position in the 93 minute of play, and Mensur Vehbić capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mensur Vehbić really showed his touch with that goal: 5-1. U21 Netherlands's Carlo Harding proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Netherlands from getting a goal against them. U21 Netherlands walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
