The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Pimentel got free with Cesar Batres in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th match minute, Guatemala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Misael Cerna to maneuver through the defense.
