Vilmantas Zuoza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Conochie in the 18th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Ewan Bruce. Robbie Conochie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilmantas Zuoza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astijus Dargvainis in the 33rd minute of play forced Scotland's goalkeeper Bradley Ennis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frankie McGill got free with Vilmantas Zuoza in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 95 minutes into the game, Frankie McGill recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vilmantas Zuoza. Frankie McGill showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-3. Lithuania's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
