Benjamin da Fonseca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Benjamin da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Jakub Ziombkowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeremias Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakub Ziombkowski in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes in the game Ramon Alaejos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Éric Cantona. A throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game was made by Ramon Alaejos with Éric Cantona as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The throw-in from Ramon Alaejos in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pesqueira City's Válbson Vidal. Sebastian Hellkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Salvador Musacchio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Éric Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakub Ziombkowski in the 44th minute of play forced Pesqueira City's goalkeeper Jeremias Orland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Pesqueira City got a freekick which was hit by Bennvar Lohman. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Lorenzo Acutain was substituted for Éric Cantona. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Victor Morales was substituted for Humberto Barragan. Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jörn Svartengren was substituted for Jakub Ziombkowski. Bennvar Lohman hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jörn Svartengren stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emilio Ramone kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Sebastian Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. With an all-out effort, Inter de Guayaquil FC's Jeremias Orland threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Salvador Musacchio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Benjamin da Fonseca scored 3-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Hellkvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pesqueira City's Doriva Zanette was substituted for Can Sadov. Jeremias Orland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Musacchio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremias Orland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jörn Svartengren in the 86th minute. Xavier Zanetti made in the 98th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pesqueira City's Emilio Ramone. Pesqueira City's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
