Cãlin Tâmbalari was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Rafferty in the 44th minute of play forced ForestFire's goalkeeper Shaki Conn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Clemente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Ivey in the 45th minute of the match. ForestFire's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luisito James in the 47th minute. After 47 played minutes ForestFire got a freekick which was hit by Danial Dunbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ken Ivey to make the kick off. Shaki Conn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ari Currie in the 91st minute. When Charlotte FC's Ari Currie in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ForestFire fans cheered their team off the field, for while Charlotte FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
