Reynaldo Cerezo was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Södertälje's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Real Södertälje's Manuel Baican to fire away a dangerous shot which Ingemar Åberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bennvar Nickler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Ingemar Åberg made a huge save. Bennvar Nickler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ingemar Åberg having to make a save. Ingemar Åberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bennvar Nickler in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Skarkman in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baraxil Sarrate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg got control of the ball when Bennvar Nickler tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Petter Skarkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baraxil Sarrate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petter Skarkman in the 37th minute of the match. Bennvar Nickler kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Protegéerna's goalkeeper Ingemar Åberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bennvar Nickler. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ingemar Åberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 94 played minutes Real Södertälje got a freekick which was hit by Jarkko Tuovinen.
