Petter Skarkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Yörük made a huge save. Petter Skarkman took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Hakkı Yörük. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 42nd minute Marcial Meleon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingemar Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Marcial Meleon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Protegéerna's Ingemar Åberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Petter Skarkman to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcial Meleon in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ingemar Åberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Paolo-César Maldini. Protegéerna's Jonny Ånger was substituted for Yasen Súlov. Protegéerna's Bo Låsberg was substituted for Fernando Arango. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Paolo-César Maldini hit a great ball. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Söderlund in the 74th minute of the match. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Protegéerna's Petter Skarkman. But to his dismay, Petter Skarkman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 81 minutes of play, Protegéerna's Christer Nyberg made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute, Petter Skarkman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petter Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Petter Skarkman struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Protegéerna. In the 93rd minute Christer Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Yörük saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Petter Skarkman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Mehmet Hakkı Yörük was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ÜSTEĞMEN FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
