Anselmo Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Meirelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Júlio Macedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Zuera Never End MZC the free kick. Afonsinho Sampaio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Coutinho hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Afonsinho Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Nunes in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Luís Lima stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Zuera Never End MZC's Jeferson Vasconcelos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomás Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 59 played minutes Zuera Never End MZC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Aguiar. Zuera Never End MZC were furious when Joel Pimenta was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of Milan da Freguesia F.C. booed when Zuera Never End MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 70th match minute, Milan da Freguesia F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luís Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonsinho Sampaio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Luís Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. Doni Ortiz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Jailson Ramalho from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Afonsinho Sampaio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Pedro Luís Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Zuera Never End MZC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Meirelles. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Fred Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zuera Never End MZC's Afonsinho Sampaio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Zuera Never End MZC from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the Milan da Freguesia F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zuera Never End MZC.
