The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in De Boedo Vengo's zone, Fred Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Esdras came out of the goal and Fred Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. De Boedo Vengo's Cayetano Esdras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save De Boedo Vengo from getting a goal against them. Cayetano Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Meirelles in the 19th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in De Boedo Vengo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Cayetano Esdras, was totally fooled by Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Jailson Ramalho, who 22 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jailson Ramalho was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 25th minute. Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee gave Milan da Freguesia F.C. a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jailson Ramalho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of De Boedo Vengo's Cayetano Esdras. 2-0. When Fred Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Meirelles couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Milan da Freguesia F.C. defense, Victoriano Ibañez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomás Vaz. The Milan da Freguesia F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomás Vaz should have stopped the shot. Cayetano Esdras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Nunes in the 35th minute of play. Cayetano Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. De Boedo Vengo's Cayetano Esdras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Nunes in the 38th minute of play. Fred Meirelles hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jailson Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Cayetano Esdras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jailson Ramalho in the 52nd minute of the match. Cayetano Esdras stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Nunes's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Victoriano Ibañez sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Thomás Vaz didn't even have to move. Gavino Chucho's late challenge caught a Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Chucho helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, De Boedo Vengo's Gavino Chucho got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Carlos Alberto de Lara made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cayetano Esdras was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severiano Amaya during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Severiano Amaya hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Milan da Freguesia F.C.'s Gilvan Rezende got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Angelo Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute.
