Hany Moamen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Zheng Yang Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hany Moamen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zheng Yang Zhen in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hany Moamen saved Egypt from getting behind. In the 21stth minute of the game Zheng Yang Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Egypt's Hany Moamen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Samer Lateef came free, but Özbek Samet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hany Moamen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zheng Yang Zhen's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. The supporters of ΠΑΟΚ FC booed when Egypt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nader Shehta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hany Moamen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Yang Zhen in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theofanis Klotsobounidas to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Zheng Yang Zhen made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Kamel Seif in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ΠΑΟΚ FC's Aşır Satılmış. When Zheng Yang Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the ΠΑΟΚ FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zheng Yang Zhen couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Zheng Yang Zhen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hany Moamen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hany Moamen was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Zheng Yang Zhen capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zheng Yang Zhen really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Zheng Yang Zhen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hany Moamen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Egypt's goalkeeper Hany Moamen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 62 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Zheng Yang Zhen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hany Moamen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hany Moamen made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Zheng Yang Zhen sent off a good shot on target. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Egypt's goalkeeper Hany Moamen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ΠΑΟΚ FC made a substitution. Vassilis Bitsikas replaced Theofanis Klotsobounidas. In the 68th minute ΠΑΟΚ FC were awarded a corner. Petros Mirtsos went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Egypt's goalie and right to Isaias Oso. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Egypt's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 72 minutes into the match, Egypt's goalkeeper Hany Moamen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zheng Yang Zhen. In the 76th minute Zheng Yang Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hany Moamen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Yang Zhen in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hany Moamen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Mirtsos got a free kick in the 87th minute. Petros Mirtsos kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Zheng Yang Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hany Moamen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Hany Moamen was a little too slow when Zheng Yang Zhen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ΠΑΟΚ FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
