Luizão Loureiro started the match with the kick off. After 3 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Enoch Light. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ♞Sir Galahad FC♞'s goalie and right to Gustavo López. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ♞Sir Galahad FC♞'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to C. A. Independiente getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Antonio Voss hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Rambert in the 13th minute of play forced ♞Sir Galahad FC♞'s goalkeeper Simão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Sebastián Rambert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Enoch Light came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enoch Light couldn't finish the play. Josué Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Simão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastián Rambert in the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the C. A. Independiente defense, Benedito Braga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Alberto Islas. The C. A. Independiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Alberto Islas should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandy Spaulding to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sandy Spaulding got free with Simão Cunha in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benedito Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Luis Alberto Islas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 56th minute Luisinho Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Alberto Islas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 minutes C. A. Independiente's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luizão Loureiro who took care of the corner kick. Júnior de Alcântara was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Simão Cunha made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Sebastián Rambert sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, ♞Sir Galahad FC♞'s goal looked a bit too open when Enoch Light came free, but Simão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Justin Trujillo. After a rather tough play, ♞Sir Galahad FC♞'s José Maria Lopes got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Simão Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Rambert in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Luisinho Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
