The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the Barcelona de América defense, Silvério Vasconcelos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Urbilla. The Barcelona de América fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Urbilla should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Urbilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério Vasconcelos in the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Silvério Vasconcelos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Urbilla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Nuno Maltez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MZ Fénix's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barcelona de América the free kick. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Cássio Vilarinho hit a great ball. Espinola Ucles made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MZ Fénix's Cássio Vilarinho. 40 minutes into the match, Silvério Vasconcelos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Urbilla. Barcelona de América's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério Vasconcelos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 43rd match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Vilarinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute Silvério Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Urbilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jérémy Sarmiento to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicolas Queirós during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emiliano Urbilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silvério Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Barcelona de América's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Vasconcelos came free, but Emiliano Urbilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Vasconcelos in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emiliano Urbilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 78 played minutes Barcelona de América got a freekick which was hit by Espinola Ucles. In the 79th minute, Silvério Vasconcelos made a precise shot to the right of Emiliano Urbilla. Barcelona de América's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Nicolas Queirós succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-4 in the 84th playminute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MZ Fénix walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
