Ilie Grecescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 6th minute of the match Ique Football Club got a corner. Club Vertigo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuca Leal ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Club Vertigo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ique Football Club:s goal. After some careless play in the Club Vertigo defense, Aimar Aimar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilie Grecescu. The Club Vertigo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilie Grecescu should have stopped the shot. Aimar Aimar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilie Grecescu having to make a save. Club Vertigo's attentive Emanuel Lucaci managed to snatch the ball when Aílton Falcão made a throw-in in the 23rd minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Ique Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Aurelian Mănescu came free, but João Francisco Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Aimar Aimar fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ique Football Club's protests and gave Aimar Aimar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Negru to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Aimar Aimar came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ique Football Club were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Club Vertigo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Samuca Leal took the corner. Samuca Leal made a great header on Ique Football Club's corner, it was just that Club Vertigo's Ilie Grecescu managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 32nd minute, Club Vertigo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Aimar Aimar fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 35 minutes Club Vertigo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuca Leal who took care of the corner kick. When Ique Football Club's Aimar Aimar in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Vertigo's goalie prevented a goal. Ilie Grecescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aimar Aimar in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ilie Grecescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moisés Arruda. A collision led to Ique Football Club getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ulysses Pinheiro hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aurelian Mănescu to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aimar Aimar in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilie Grecescu saved Club Vertigo from getting behind. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Aimar Aimar sped through Club Vertigo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ilie Grecescu. Aimar Aimar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilie Grecescu having to make a save. Moisés Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilie Grecescu having to interfere. Roberto Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Aurelian Mănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Ulici's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Francisco Leme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, Aimar Aimar cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Ilie Grecescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aimar Aimar might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilie Grecescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aimar Aimar ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Aimar Aimar came free, but Ilie Grecescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Samuca Leal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ique Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Vertigo the free kick. A collision led to Ique Football Club getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Samuca Leal hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Aimar Aimar notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Club Vertigo's Ilie Grecescu. Ilie Grecescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ilie Grecescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Ique Football Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
