The referee ignored MKS Mazur Ełk's protests and gave Ignacy Fronczak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, MKS Mazur Ełk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacy Fronczak to maneuver through the defense. Boguslaw Jucha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Dorigatti in the 10th minute of the match. Boguslaw Jucha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Dorigatti, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Majewski in the 21st minute of play forced MKS Mazur Ełk's goalkeeper Edgar Iwaszko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Powiśle Warszawa's Ryan Giggs got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Wieslaw Zawacki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MKS Mazur Ełk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wieslaw Zawacki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Powiśle Warszawa's goalkeeper Boguslaw Jucha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, MKS Mazur Ełk's Armando Dorigatti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Boguslaw Jucha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 33rd minute, Ryan Giggs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tadeusz Pionek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 65th minute, when Powiśle Warszawa's Cyryl Rukszcz after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Edgar Iwaszko in MKS Mazur Ełk's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. In the 68th minute Armando Dorigatti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boguslaw Jucha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes, David Bitănescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MKS Mazur Ełk and the Powiśle Warszawa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, David Bitănescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Powiśle Warszawa's zone, Armando Dorigatti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boguslaw Jucha came out of the goal and Armando Dorigatti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Powiśle Warszawa's Boguslaw Jucha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Dorigatti in the 90th minute of play. David Bitănescu struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Boguslaw Jucha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Mazur Ełk. The Powiśle Warszawa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Powiśle Warszawa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
