The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Manuel Pelegrims showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antxoka Valerón in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5thth minute of the game Antxoka Valerón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limburg United's Manuel Pelegrims was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Douglas Van Buyten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Roberto Baeza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Antxoka Valerón put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manuel Pelegrims. If Lucas Capellemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geert Leenknecht during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA booed when Limburg United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geert Leenknecht didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Pelegrims showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Antxoka Valerón who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limburg United's Manuel Pelegrims was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th minute Antxoka Valerón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Pelegrims saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Geert Leenknecht fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 31 minutes into the match, Antxoka Valerón had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Pelegrims. Limburg United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antxoka Valerón was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 37th minute, Geert Leenknecht got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antxoka Valerón scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Pelegrims, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Limburg United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA were winning 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Capellemans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Nabar Urruti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. F.C. AMERICAN BARÇA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Limburg United the free kick.
