The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Rezende got free with Wiktor Strömqvist in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Remo Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After 13 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Stig Aronsson. Surahammar's Wiktor Strömqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Carlos Munhoz in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Munhoz came free, but Wiktor Strömqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Se7e getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. João Carlos Munhoz hit a great ball. Igor Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Åke Bank, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Se7e's Allan Trevisan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stig-Ove Kjellbom in the 26 minute of the game. Carl Viklund hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, João Carlos Munhoz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wiktor Strömqvist. The goal made the score 1-0. After 33 played minutes Se7e got a freekick which was hit by Remo Neto. Tony Back took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Souza. Igor Souza dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Erland Vikström kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Gilmar Gerber hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Igor Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Åke Bank, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Surahammar's Erland Vikström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Se7e.

51 minutes into the match, Gilmar Gerber had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wiktor Strömqvist. Surahammar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilmar Gerber was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Igor Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erland Vikström in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute Gilmar Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wiktor Strömqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Se7e's Igor Souza got control of the ball when Jens-Åke Bank tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erland Vikström shot from long distance in the 69th minute, but Igor Souza was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Wiktor Strömqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilmar Gerber in the 70th minute of play. Jarl Låsberg charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarl Låsberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Surahammar booed when Se7e was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilmar Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th match minute, Se7e was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remo Neto to maneuver through the defense. After 80 played minutes, Surahammar's Erland Vikström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Igor Souza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Surahammar reached it. After 83 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Helström. Remo Neto struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Wiktor Strömqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Se7e. A collision led to Se7e getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Allan Trevisan hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Erland Vikström sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Igor Souza threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Erland Vikström this time. Gilmar Gerber took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wiktor Strömqvist. Wiktor Strömqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Se7e fans cheered their team off the field, for while Surahammar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
