In the 14th minute Wen Yu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Lluis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Wen Yu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Aguilo came free, but Rene Lluis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elisardo Campomanes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Abelardo Macías showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopoldo Tiadoro in the 24th minute of the match. Fisica UNT's Severino Teofilio took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Abelardo Macías and thus the score was 5-4. Abelardo Macías had in the 144thth minute some difficulties stopping Franco Benítez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.
