With a little luck, MONTANHA's Renatinho Sousa got control of the ball when Samuca Tróia tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, MONTANHA's Tadeu Brito made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norberto Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Tadeu Brito sped through Ekzema F.V.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norberto Barreto. The supporters of Ekzema F.V. booed when MONTANHA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerônimo Batista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tiaguinho Falcão got free with Norberto Barreto in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 75th minute, Daniel Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 77th minute, MONTANHA's Tiaguinho Falcão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norberto Barreto. Norberto Barreto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Norberto Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Brito in the 80th minute of the match. Guga Paraíba charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guga Paraíba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MONTANHA getting a freekick after 81 minutes play.
