Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) U21 Sweden's Torbjörn Nilsson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Faas Wilkes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vykans Vikingar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to U21 Sweden getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Stefan Belkå hit a great ball. Ronnie Meck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faas Wilkes in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, U21 Sweden's goal looked a bit too open when Faas Wilkes came free, but Ronnie Meck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Balthazar Bär shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balthazar Bär in the 20th minute of the match. Balthazar Bär might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcus Ekrot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balthazar Bär ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute Balthazar Bär shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Marcus Ekrot successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. U21 Sweden's Ronnie Meck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Remicio in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Sweden booed when Vykans Vikingar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faas Wilkes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Balthazar Bär, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Elliott Bogren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Balthazar Bär in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balthazar Bär in the 34th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Balthazar Bär shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Ekrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torbjörn Nilsson in the 37th minute. Genaro Remicio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Meck having to interfere. After the first half Vykans Vikingar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Faas Wilkes made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, U21 Sweden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torbjörn Nilsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Stig Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ekrot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Álvaro Paraíba almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Sweden's Ronnie Meck did a great save. U21 Sweden made a substitution. Dan Mårtensson replaced Henning Gulliksson. U21 Sweden's Ivar Nickov was substituted for Balthazar Bär. Martin Mutumba scored 0-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronnie Meck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ronnie Meck made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Genaro Remicio sent off a good shot on target. Stefan Belkå kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Vykans Vikingar made a substitution. Simon Brolin replaced Lars Dahlman. Walter Hård could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ronnie Meck made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivar Nickov in the 79th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
