Roger Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Di Filippo in the 19th minute of play. Roger Seco was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Dave Di Filippo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dave Di Filippo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 30thth minute of the game Dave Di Filippo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio's Roger Seco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Grêmio's Roger Seco got control of the ball when Dave Di Filippo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Hermanö Oilers's Dave Di Filippo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roger Seco. That made the score 4-0 after 34 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dave Di Filippo in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roger Seco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Grêmio's Roger Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dave Di Filippo in the 52nd minute of play. When Ezequiel Capixaba fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Grêmio's attentive Túlio Novaes managed to snatch the ball when Hjalmar Askelöf made a throw-in in the 70th minute of the game. The throw-in from Hjalmar Askelöf in the 71st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Grêmio's Túlio Novaes. After some careless play in the Grêmio defense, Dave Di Filippo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Seco. The Grêmio fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Seco should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Di Filippo in the 79th minute of play forced Grêmio's goalkeeper Roger Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Grêmio's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Di Filippo came free, but Roger Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Hermanö Oilers's Dave Di Filippo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Seco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The supporters of Grêmio booed when Hermanö Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Apa Banana didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grêmio players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hermanö Oilers.
