Eustaquio Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tostão Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 11th of the match, Tostão Barreto tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Eustaquio Javiar got in the way and made a wonderful save. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Tostão Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustaquio Javiar. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustaquio Javiar should have stopped the shot. Itaberaba's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evaristo Dracena in the 23rd minute. Evaristo Dracena made a great header on Itaberaba's corner, it was just that Boca Juniors's Eustaquio Javiar managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Bazkoare in the 28th minute of play forced Itaberaba's goalkeeper Vinícius Sergipano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Bazkoare to make the kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Amador Dino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vinícius Sergipano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Tepedino in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eustaquio Javiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romulo Maties scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vinícius Sergipano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Boca Juniors's Pablo Basualdo got a free kick in the 65th minute. When Evaristo Dracena came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Itaberaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Dracena couldn't finish the play. Eustaquio Javiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Tepedino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Itaberaba booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Basualdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 73 played minutes Itaberaba got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Abraão. Ediberto Abraão hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Zachary Iwanowski from long distance, 80 minutes into the match, got Vinícius Sergipano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Ediberto Abraão hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Itaberaba's Patrick Tepedino got a free kick in the 85th minute. Tostão Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Tostão Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaberaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tostão Barreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eustaquio Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Tostão Barreto struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Eustaquio Javiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itaberaba. After 91 played minutes Boca Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Joel Min. Eustaquio Javiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Itaberaba succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Boca Juniors had controlled the match.
