Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nichifor Codruț in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tacettin Çinuçin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Ferdinand Mergea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bogdan Gurgui was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, FC DACIA BRĂILA's goal looked a bit too open when Nichifor Codruț came free, but Tacettin Çinuçin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Nichifor Codruț managed to get in a good position for a shot. F.C.BARLAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Nichifor Codruț was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tacettin Çinuçin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tacettin Çinuçin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nichifor Codruț's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC DACIA BRĂILA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when FC DACIA BRĂILA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudiu Braru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tacettin Çinuçin made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Nichifor Codruț sent off a good shot on target. Terry Peysson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tacettin Çinuçin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to F.C.BARLAD getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Eric Pârlea hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferdinand Mergea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. F.C.BARLAD's Bogdan Gurgui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Acatincăi in the 56th minute of play. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Terry Peysson sped through FC DACIA BRĂILA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tacettin Çinuçin. In the 77thth minute of the game Terry Peysson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC DACIA BRĂILA's Tacettin Çinuçin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 79th minute Ferdinand Mergea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Gurgui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Terry Peysson made a precise shot to the right of Tacettin Çinuçin. FC DACIA BRĂILA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Bogdan Gurgui came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by FC DACIA BRĂILA's Denis Acatincăi. But to his dismay, Denis Acatincăi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. FC DACIA BRĂILA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
