In the 3rd minute of the match, Valentin Verzea tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Silviu Lung saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. FC Ostroveni's Silviu Lung played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Verzea in the 3rd minute of play. Daniel Bacalbașa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Silviu Lung made a huge save. Silviu Lung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Bacalbașa in the 7th minute of play. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Verzea in the 13th minute of the match. FC Ostroveni's Silviu Lung proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ostroveni from getting a goal against them. Silviu Lung made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Nichifor Codruț sent off a good shot on target. F.C.BARLAD were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after FC Ostroveni's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ştefan Bara took the corner. F.C.BARLAD's Ştefan Bara was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silviu Lung in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Bacalbașas short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Silviu Lung to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. F.C.BARLAD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ştefan Bara in the 27th minute. Silviu Lung made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Nichifor Codruț sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when FC Ostroveni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Buricea didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 34 minutes on the clock, Mihai Paulică commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Nichifor Codruț shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. Nichifor Codruț ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of F.C.BARLAD booed when FC Ostroveni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stelian Sticlaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Bacalbașa to make the kick off. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nichifor Codruț in the 55th minute of the match. Niculae Isvoreanu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Buricea in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nichifor Codruț in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silviu Lung prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68thth minute of the game Nichifor Codruț who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ostroveni's Silviu Lung was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Bacalbașa in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silviu Lung saved FC Ostroveni from getting behind. 72 minutes into the match, FC Ostroveni's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Bara came free, but Silviu Lung reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When F.C.BARLAD's Nichifor Codruț in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The FC Ostroveni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silviu Lung should have stopped the shot. Nichifor Codruț blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silviu Lung having to make a save. Silviu Lung showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Codruț, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. F.C.BARLAD had played much better football throughout.
