The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sílvio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nixon Richards made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Costa in the 10th minute of play. Gabriel Madeo kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, Divorciados FC's goalkeeper Nixon Richards had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Pitta. After having played for 16 minutes, Rodolfo Manuelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Divorciados FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Manuelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20thth minute of the game Sílvio Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Divorciados FC's Nixon Richards was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualter Pitta got free with Nixon Richards in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Divorciados FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Costa came free, but Nixon Richards reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Divorciados FC's goalkeeper Nixon Richards had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gualter Pitta. Nixon Richards showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Costa in the 29th minute of the match. Gualter Pitta's late challenge caught a Divorciados FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gualter Pitta helped the player get up and apologised. 34 minutes into the match, Divorciados FC's goal looked a bit too open when 姚然城 came free, but Nixon Richards reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Du Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Pedro Luiz Novaes went to the cornerflag to take it. Du Esporte Clube's 姚然城 was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nixon Richards in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 40 minutes of play, Divorciados FC's Rodolfo Manuelo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Pflüger was left in no man's land by his defense there! 姚然城 hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Divorciados FC's Nixon Richards got control of the ball when Sílvio Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Du Esporte Clube made a substitution. Kauã Britto replaced Pablo Escobar. Du Esporte Clube's Eduardo Nascimento was substituted for Pedro Luiz Novaes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Beat Kellenberger to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Du Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Costa to maneuver through the defense. When Fabricio Otsoa came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Divorciados FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Otsoa couldn't finish the play. Nixon Richards showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualter Pitta in the 65th minute of the match. Beat Kellenberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Teodosio Florin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Pflüger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabricio Otsoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Markus Pflüger was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Beat Kellenberger showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 74 minute of play. Nixon Richards showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Castro in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Du Esporte Clube booed when Divorciados FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Oxarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Divorciados FC's Gabriel Madeo got a free kick in the 87th minute. Marco Fernanco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Markus Pflüger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Otsoa in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Rodolfo Manuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Pflüger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 98 played minutes Divorciados FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Beila. In the 99th minute, Rodolfo Castro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Divorciados FC's Nixon Richards didn't even have to move. The Divorciados FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Divorciados FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
