The supporters of Panionios MK booed when Ruskeakoski IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahto Kiviharju didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludomil Chazon kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Alketas Bourouselos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 史帆瑜, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Ruskeakoski IFK defense, Themos Leontiadis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sol Gardner. The Ruskeakoski IFK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sol Gardner should have stopped the shot. Ludomil Chazon made in the 24th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by 史帆瑜. Sol Gardner made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Themos Leontiadis sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute Panionios MK were awarded a corner. Argyris Ksagorarakis made a great header on Panionios MK's corner, it was just that Ruskeakoski IFK's Sol Gardner managed to reach the ball for a save. Allan Corrigan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Sol Gardner made a huge save. Sol Gardner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Themos Leontiadis's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Themos Leontiadis in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sol Gardner saved Ruskeakoski IFK from getting behind. Panionios MK's Fanis Salepis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ilari Hentunen in the 32 minute of the game. A hard shot 36 in the game by Allan Corrigan from a close distance when the talented Sol Gardner managed to make a qualified save. Ruskeakoski IFK's players were relieved. After 42 played minutes Ruskeakoski IFK got a freekick which was hit by Ludomil Chazon. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Allan Corrigan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Themos Leontiadis put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sol Gardner. 57 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goal looked a bit too open when 史帆瑜 came free, but Alketas Bourouselos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Manne Kattilakoski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ruskeakoski IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Manne Kattilakoski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alketas Bourouselos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ludomil Chazon kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ruskeakoski IFK made a substitution. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruskeakoski IFK's goalkeeper Sol Gardner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 83 minutes into the game, 史帆瑜 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alketas Bourouselos. 史帆瑜 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. Ludomil Chazon made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Panionios MK's Fondas Giannakakis. Alketas Bourouselos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manne Kattilakoski went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. Allan Corrigan scored 5-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sol Gardner, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
