In the 5th minute, one of Conjunto Paisa:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Conjunto Paisa. In the 6th minute, Witomir Blicharz made a precise shot to the right of Lev Yashin. Conjunto Paisa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 吕荣霆 hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Legia Warszawa's zone, Tomás Angel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenon Pleban came out of the goal and Tomás Angel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karol Tomiczek charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karol Tomiczek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Legia Warszawa's Karol Tomiczek got a free kick in the 16th minute. Zenon Pleban made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Angel in the 18th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Angel came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Pleban showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harriet Basabe, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Refugio Colsa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Zenon Pleban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Legia Warszawa from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd minute of the match Conjunto Paisa got a corner. Legia Warszawa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Freddy Roig ran over to the corner to take the kick. Conjunto Paisa's Freddy Roig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Zenon Pleban in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Tomás Angel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karol Tomiczek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Karol Tomiczek notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin. Lev Yashin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin got control of the ball when Leszek Podwojski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leszek Podwojski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lev Yashin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Legia Warszawa booed when Conjunto Paisa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harriet Basabe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernard Lemiesz hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Roig came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zenon Pleban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Roig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Leszek Podwojski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lev Yashin. That made the score 0-3 in the 83 minute of play.
