With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Hauguel in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amancio Videl saved Berni y Benja FC from getting behind. The Elegance Dijon fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Elegance Dijon's Roger Hauguel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 8 minutes into the game, Régis Catoire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elegance Dijon's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Berni y Benja FC the free kick. Régis Catoire kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Hauguel. Amancio Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stéphane Gaudy, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Stéphane Gaudy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berni y Benja FC's Amancio Videl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Berni y Benja FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roger Hauguel was slow to take the kick. During this time Elegance Dijon's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Elegance Dijon's David Kopa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dave Rinaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kärim Benzine in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, David Kopa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Berni y Benja FC's Amancio Videl. Amancio Videl was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Berni y Benja FC's Amancio Videl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Berni y Benja FC from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute Roger Hauguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Régis Catoire hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Faustão Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berni y Benja FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustão Secco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Rinaldi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amancio Videl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stéphane Gaudy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kärim Benzine in the 43rd minute of play forced Elegance Dijon's goalkeeper Dave Rinaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Kärim Benzine made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Roger Hauguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amancio Videl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Hauguel, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Kopa in the 59th minute of play forced Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruce Pawlak kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Elegance Dijon made a substitution. Gilles Baur replaced David Kopa. In the 65thth minute of the game Stéphane Gaudy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berni y Benja FC's Amancio Videl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Amancio Videl came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Elegance Dijon's Gilles Baur. But to his dismay, Gilles Baur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 73rd minute Afonsinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Rinaldi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes Elegance Dijon's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Faustão Secco who took care of the corner kick. In the 75th minute, Doğuhan Işıklar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Hauguel in the 78th minute of play forced Berni y Benja FC's goalkeeper Amancio Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute Stéphane Gaudy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Rinaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kärim Benzine in the 83rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Berni y Benja FC's Dave Rinaldi threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Esteve Formerio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 90 minutes into the match, Berni y Benja FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Hauguel came free, but Amancio Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Eddy Brayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Berni y Benja FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Elegance Dijon.
