The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Marlin FC's Anier Eufrasio got a free kick in the 7th minute. Gerardo Calisto took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geoffrey Rogez. Geoffrey Rogez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rayanne Saurat charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rayanne Saurat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 27 minutes into the game, Damian Unax cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Geoffrey Rogez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 32nd match minute, Elegance Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Djimmy Jasmin to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Elegance Dijon's Fabian Guine got a free kick in the 38th minute. Geoffrey Rogez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Bermund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Oscar Bermund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marlin FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Geoffrey Rogez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Bermund in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Damian Unax made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes, Adil Caruso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elegance Dijon and the Marlin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Elegance Dijon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rayanne Saurat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geoffrey Rogez was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Gerardo Calisto capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gerardo Calisto really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. 70 minutes into the match, Marlin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rayanne Saurat came free, but Fabian Bazil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes, Marlin FC's Anier Eufrasio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Geoffrey Rogez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Marlin FC reached it. Adil Caruso scored 2-5 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabian Bazil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rayanne Saurat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 83 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Maximo Errapel. 92 minutes into the game, Oscar Bermund recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geoffrey Rogez. Oscar Bermund showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-7. Elegance Dijon were furious when Batiste Dhalluin was red carded, 96 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 97th match minute, Elegance Dijon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batiste Dhalluin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Marlin FC booed when Elegance Dijon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adil Caruso didn't get a good kick on the ball.
