Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Faustino Bordon took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute, Cristian Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Paraguay's Román Olmedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Oscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Román Olmedo in the 16th minute of play. Made in Paraguay's Oscar Cordoba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Made in Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Ariel Balboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilmar Heidemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 23 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Guillelme Lomas. In the 25th minute, Faustino Bordon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Faustino Bordon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Cresenciano Secada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Cresenciano Secada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Cordoba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilmar Heidemann in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ariel Balboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Made in Paraguay's zone, Denis Inestrosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Cordoba came out of the goal and Denis Inestrosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute Amato Almaguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Balboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute Made in Paraguay were awarded a corner. Arne Iten went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Joseba Font heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Vilmar Heidemann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Balboa was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilmar Heidemann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Made in Paraguay's Oscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Bordon in the 55th minute of play. 58 minutes into the game, Cresenciano Secada cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Oscar Cordoba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ariel Balboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vilmar Heidemann in the 63rd minute. Made in Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arne Iten in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute Made in Paraguay were awarded a corner. Arne Iten went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Paraguay's goalie and right to Vilmar Heidemann. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Paraguay's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Made in Paraguay's Ramone Betancur was substituted for Blanco Cotilla. 78 minutes into the match, Made in Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Bordon came free, but Oscar Cordoba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Cristian Alvarenga in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Made in Paraguay's Manuelo Onil. Made in Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paraguay the free kick. In the 94th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Paraguay were the better team. Paraguay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
