NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Di Rocco came free, but Franco Tarulli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Comunardo Foni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Tarulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Coriano FC's goalkeeper Beppe Falasca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciccio Bassani. Dave Pierucci kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. A hard and well directed shot from Damiano Di Rocco led 16 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Franco Tarulli became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 0-1. Coriano FC's Beppe Falasca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Coriano FC from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute, Fausto Capobianco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beppe Falasca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Pierucci in the 31st minute of the match. S.S.C. NAPOLI's Dave Pierucci got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Frank Pasqualone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Pietropaolo during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Coriano FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Alfredo Pietropaolo hit a great ball. The S.S.C. NAPOLI players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Coriano FC were winning 0-1.

Franco Tarulli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damiano Di Rocco went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to S.S.C.
