José Viana who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Tião de Almeida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Felippe Rosa's late challenge caught a Floresta Negra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felippe Rosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to MARINUS MZC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Felippe Rosa hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the game, Evaristo Arósio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MARINUS MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Floresta Negra FC the free kick. Evaristo Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Aírton Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião de Almeida having to interfere. After 13 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Josué Souto. With a little luck, MARINUS MZC's Tião de Almeida got control of the ball when José Viana tried to sneak it across the goal line. MARINUS MZC's Tião de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Vinhas in the 17th minute of play. In the 23rdth minute of the game José Viana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MARINUS MZC's Tião de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Viana didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 24th minute. Floresta Negra FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Floresta Negra FC's José Paulo Paulista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Souto in the 28th minute of play. Marcos Pimenta lost his temper 31 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The goalkeeper, Tião de Almeida, was totally fooled by Floresta Negra FC's Breno Cerezo, who 33 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Cillian Murphy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Cillian Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tião de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulinho Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when José Viana made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute José Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tião de Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Floresta Negra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedito de Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Benedito de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's José Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tião de Almeida narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tião de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Viana in the 70th minute of play. After 71 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Zonta. After 74 minutes of play, Floresta Negra FC's José Viana made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tião de Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tião de Almeida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulinho Vinhas's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. When Floresta Negra FC's José Viana in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MARINUS MZC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Floresta Negra FC booed when MARINUS MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position.
