Lee Coffman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Hernan Neriz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Eustacio Orodea hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Ellsworth Lindsay took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Hernan Neriz to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Rosio Golmayo got a free kick in the 89th minute. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Lee Coffman put it in 1-6 from a short distance just to the right of Hernan Neriz. After 94 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Fliz Marty. In the 99th minute Rene Millares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brice Leach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Varennes eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
